Thule Radar Antennas

The North American Defense Early Warning (DEW) perimeter was extended with the completion of powerful radar stations at Thule, Greenland (on October 1, 1960), and Clear, Alaska. A third station was under construction in Yorkshire, England.

Radar antennas being installed at the U.S. Air Force Base at Thule, Greenland. Each antenna would measure 400 x 160 feet upon completion.
