As more states are ordering its millions of residents to stay home because of the coronavirus, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has listed which industries and workers are “essential” to fighting the pandemic. According to the DHS Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), there are 14 employment categories that the agency identifies as Essential Critical Infrastructure Workers.
SKC Inc. supplies films for medical devices, medical packaging, medical and general labels, food packaging and other critical applications. As a crucial part of the health care and food supply chains, we fully realize our business classifies under the categories mentioned by the DHS. To ensure the continuous flow of these essential operations, our production facility continues to operate with those essential work employees, under necessary precautions.
To continue supporting our customers and their businesses, and help prevent further spread of the virus, all non-essential employees have been asked to work from home.

SKC inc. Actively Working to Help Combat COVID-19
In just 5 days, SKC inc. produced and shipped the equivalent film to make over 125 million face shields for medical workers, first responders and others who desperately need these critical items.
During these difficult times, SKC inc. continues to manufacture film products which are utilized in the medical/healthcare industry for personal protective equipment (PPE) in face shields. We also continue to manufacture medical imaging films and films that are utilized in the packaging and labeling of medicines, healthcare products and food industry products.
