Aerial Fire Fighter

A Martin Mars Flying Boat drops 32½ tons of water during a practice run over Sidney Inlet near Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, in March 1960. The plane, which could pick up about 7,000 gallons of water in 35 seonds while taking off, was to be used to control forest fires in British Columbia.
