Wooden Washing Machine

Designed for minimal cost and easy assembly, this machine was designed by Katherine Holtzclaw (left) and demonstrated in 1958. It was to be distributed by the U.S. International Cooperation Administration in countries where electricity is either unavailable or unreliable.
