Universal Aviation Corporation
a holding company that operated
several regional airlines before being merged
into American Airlines
On June 14, 1929, Universal Aviation
inaugurated the first coast-to-coast
rail-to-air-to-rail service in the United States,
in cooperation with New York Central Railroad in
the east and Santa Fe Railroad in the west.

part of the Universal Aviation Corporation in
