FESTAC '77 The Second World Black and African Festival of Arts and Culture was held in Lagos, Nigeria, January 15 - February 12, 1977. About 16,000 participants, representing 56 nations, performed at the event. Liberation fighters from Southern Africa parade in
the Nigerian National Stadium, one of the six sites used
for the celebration. The Nigerian delegation prepare for the closing
ceremony. North African musicians demonstrate their skills. Young Nigerian performers prepare for the closing
