The British Test A Hydrogen Bomb

On May 15, 1957, the United Kingdom became the third nation to explode a fusion, or hydrogen, bomb. The blast took place near Malden Atoll about 400 miles south of Christmas Island. Two more H-bombs were exploded to complete the test series.

The third British hydrogen bomb was detonated in June 1957.
