Presidential Helicopter
In March two 4-passenger
helicopters were purchased for use by President
Eisenhower and his Secret Service
"escorts." Their primary purpose was to
carry the President from the White House to the
airport.
President Eisenhower steps from his
helicopter at a secret hideout after leaving
Washington, D.C., to escape a mock H-bomb attack
staged by the Civil Defense Administration.
