Flags of the Mexican War

The Republic of Texas was declared on March 2, 1836, with the Lone Star Flag as its banner.

Each of the United States regiments had its own flag that the troops followed into battle. This flag was carried by the Fourth Regiment of Indiana Volunteers.

This was the national flag of Mexico during the war. This specific flag was actually taken in battle by American troops.

This flag was carried by the United States Eighth Infantry Regiment.
